Faith This is a criminally underrated piece of work. I really don't care much (read: at all) for clean vocals in my metal, but She Must Burn has not only shown how it can work, but work with grace and fury. And not only do we have a first class showcase for staggeringly awesome synergy between clean and harsh vocals here, all this against an astonishingly amazing backdrop of instrument mastery. It's raw, it's majestic, it's addictive; and it proves yet again that deathcore has its place. Unreal.

puncakethethird One of the finest deathcore records i've heard in recent times. Safe to say they've truly found their sound with this one. Melodic yet crushing with prominent and very well done operatic vocals. Favorite track: Souls Asunder.

porcelainheart- "Symphonic gothic deathcore" wasn't something I thought I would see in 2022, but here we are. This was posted in a Facebook group and I was immediately drawn in by the artwork. This album delivers an impactful and morbid sound, and the female backing vocals are a really nice touch. FFO The Agonist (Alisa era). Favorite track: Incantation.

Pity that I could not find the deluxe edition with LoG's Laid to Rest. Nevertheless I wanted to add Elegy to my BC collection. It's unique as it is a delightful mix of symphony and deathcore. The vocals are just the perfect "5th element" that allows both styles to intertwine perfectly. Ben Duerr is the perfect vocalist for this role. The Elegy trilogy at the end is just the apotheose of death-gasm, it's a good trip down to memory lane as I've seen S.O.I. live last year! sachavonkarl74
